Drain oil from loader after 20 to 25 hours of operation. Check and clean strainer assembly. If possible, blow out oil reservoir using com- pressed air, inserting nozzle through oil filler. Replace oil using either new oil or old oil carefully filtered to remove foreign materials. After initial drain of oil, it should not be necessary to change oil.

Nov 30, 2021 · The cylinders may not have a packing on the ends of the rams. They may rely solely on the seal system at the end of the barrel. In the link is an example of such a cylinder. The cylinders on the Horndraulic trip loader on my Farmall M are made this way and I think many older single acting long ram hydraulic loader cylinders were designed this way.

Nov 03, 2020 · I removed all four hyd cylinders from my 3130L and brought them to the dealer. They quoted me about $1100. for parts and labor to replace the seals. Does this sound right? It's a messy job removing the cylinders getting oil all over everything. I will replace the cylinders also. Just sounds like a lot of money.

Jun 02, 2021 · Oil and clean all parts well before reassembly. Reinsert the gland into the cylinder. Do not use a thread locking substance on the gland threads. Replace all hydraulic lines and test for leaks around the new seals. This procedure should work for most welded rod cylinder types. This procedure should work well for most cylinder types.
